Certificate of Analysis
Most supplement brands say "third-party tested." Very few show you the numbers. This page does. Every production lot of Logic Lion's Mane is tested by an independent laboratory for heavy metals and microbiological contaminants, and the results are published here.

Why we publish this
The supplement industry runs on claims that are almost impossible for a customer to check. A label can say "lab tested" without saying which lab, which tests, or what the results were. It can say "pure" without a single number attached.
We think the only meaningful answer to "is this clean?" is the data. So here it is, lot by lot, with the specification limits and the test methods alongside, so you can judge the numbers rather than take our word for them.
Current lot results
Logic Lion's Mane is a single-ingredient liquid extract. Two production lots are currently in circulation. Both were tested by Advanced Laboratories, Inc., an independent laboratory, using United States Pharmacopeia (USP) compendial methods.
Heavy metals
| Test | Lot 60624002 | Lot 60819001 | Specification | Method |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lead | 0.010 ppm | 0.007 ppm | <1 ppm | ICP-MS, USP <730> |
| Arsenic | 0.001 ppm | 0.003 ppm | <1 ppm | ICP-MS, USP <730> |
| Cadmium | 0.007 ppm | 0.009 ppm | <1 ppm | ICP-MS, USP <730> |
| Mercury | <0.001 ppm | <0.001 ppm | <1 ppm | ICP-MS, USP <730> |
What these numbers mean. Trace heavy metals are present in virtually every plant and mushroom grown in soil, which is why the question is never "are there any" but "how much." Both lots measured between 100 and 1,000 times below the specification limit on every element tested. Mercury was below the laboratory's limit of detection in both lots.

Raw material: identity and beta-glucan content
Further down this page we suggest four questions worth asking about any lion's mane product. The second is whether the brand states a beta-glucan percentage rather than a total polysaccharide figure. That is a fair question to put to us, so here is our answer, with the numbers.
The MycoThrive™ extract used in Logic arrives with its own certificate of analysis from the extract manufacturer, covering species identity, active compound content and contaminants, before it enters production. Results for extract batch LMWSF-0002:
| Test | Result | Specification | Method |
|---|---|---|---|
|
Species identity Hericium erinaceus |
Positive — pass | Positive | FT-NIR spectroscopy |
| Beta 1,3 / 1,6-glucan | 36.47% | >20% | Enzymatic assay (Megazyme K-YBGL) |
| Moisture | 3.10% | <10% | Loss on drying |
| Solubility | >95% | >95% | — |
| Heavy metals lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury |
All at or below 0.04 ppm | <0.10 ppm combined | ICP-MS |
| Allergens | None declared | Allergen free | — |
Why beta-glucan and not "polysaccharides." Starch is a polysaccharide. So a label reading "40% polysaccharides" can be entirely accurate while describing a product that is mostly grain. Beta-glucans are the compounds specific to the mushroom cell wall, and measuring them requires an enzymatic assay that separates beta-glucan from starch and alpha-glucan rather than counting everything together. That is the figure above: 36.47% beta-glucan, by enzymatic assay, against a specification of 20%.
Raw material batches and finished-product lots are numbered separately, so the extract batch above is not a substitute for the finished-lot results published higher on this page. It is the incoming-material stage of the same testing programme. Email us with the lot number from your bottle and we will send both.

How Logic is tested
Testing happens at two stages, not one.
Incoming raw material. Before the MycoThrive™ lion's mane extract enters production, it is tested for species identity and beta-glucan content, and samples are drawn for identity confirmation on receipt. A mushroom extract that isn't the species on the label is the single most common failure in this category, and identity testing is how it gets caught.
Finished product, by lot. Once bottled, each production lot is tested for heavy metals by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and for microbiological contaminants using USP compendial methods. Every lot. Not a sample of lots, not once a year.
The testing is performed by an independent laboratory, not in-house. That distinction matters: a manufacturer testing its own product and reporting the result is not third-party testing, however carefully it's done.
Our manufacturing standards
Logic is made in the United States by a manufacturing partner operating under Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the FDA, in a facility that is FDA-registered and holds NSF GMP registration.
The formulation itself is deliberately plain. Three ingredients: organic MycoThrive™ lion's mane fruiting body extract, USP-grade vegetable glycerin, and purified water. No proprietary blends hiding the dose. No fillers, binders, flow agents, artificial colours or preservatives. The amount of active is printed on the label in milligrams, because a number you can check is worth more than an adjective.

Four questions worth asking about any lion's mane product
Not just ours. If you are comparing products, these four separate a serious one from an expensive one:
- Does the label specify fruiting body, or only the species name? Much of the category is mycelium grown on grain, and at harvest the two cannot be fully separated.
- Is there a stated beta-glucan percentage, rather than a total polysaccharide figure? Starch is also a polysaccharide, so a "40% polysaccharides" label can be technically accurate while describing mostly rice. Ours is published above.
- Is it an extract, or a raw powder? Mushroom cell walls are largely chitin, which human digestion does not break down well. Without extraction, much of what's inside stays there.
- Can you obtain a certificate of analysis matching the lot number on the bottle? If not, every other answer is unverifiable.

Frequently asked questions
Is Logic third-party tested? Yes. Finished-product testing for every lot is performed by Advanced Laboratories, Inc., an independent laboratory, using USP compendial methods. Raw material is separately tested for identity and beta-glucan content before production.
What is the beta-glucan content of Logic? The MycoThrive™ extract in Logic was measured at 36.47% beta-1,3/1,6-glucan by enzymatic assay, against a specification of 20% minimum. The full raw-material results are published above.
What heavy metals do you test for? Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, by ICP-MS under USP <730>. Results for both current lots are published above.
Are there heavy metals in Logic? At trace levels, as in essentially any botanical or mushroom product grown in soil. Both current lots measured 100 to 1,000 times below the specification limit on every element, and mercury was below the laboratory's detection limit.
How do I get the COA for my bottle? Email us the lot number from the bottom of the bottle and we'll send it.
Where is Logic made? In the United States, by a manufacturing partner operating under FDA cGMP regulations in an FDA-registered, NSF GMP-registered facility.
